Starbucks, Gay Rights and a few Opinions - Episode 34

Listener Amanda asks us a question about our thoughts on gay rights, and Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz takes a stand for gay rights around the world.

  1. Great podcast! I'm a former xian who lives in the Chicago area and used to attend this megachurch. I've been listening to you guys for a couple months and really appreciate your podcast. It's a nice change from being steeped in my evangelical surroundings. Thank you!

  2. Good people will certainly disagree.

    But, I feel it is generally better not to separate ourselves from people, burn bridges, and close the lines of communication. Could he have been of more influence if he had gone to the leadership conference, and made his views known, used this as an opportunity to also advocate that the church take a more pro-gay position, build relationships.

    After all, the conference had nothing to do with the church's position concerning homosexuality.
